Turkey Sausage Breakfast Sandwiches

If you want to doctor these sandwiches up, sliced tomato and avocado are great added just before serving! If you like a bit of heat, try adding sriracha or your favourite hot sauce. Any extra sausage patties or sandwiches keep great in the freezer!

  • Mayonnaise

    slices cheddar cheese

Use GF English muffins.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.

In a medium bowl, mix together the ground turkey, maple syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper and mix until just combined. Using wet hands, gently form the mixture into 2-3 thin patties.

Heat a large frying pan over medium high heat with half the oil. When the pan is hot, add the patties and cook 3-4 minutes on each side until just cooked through.

While the sausage patties cook, heat a medium frying pan over medium high heat with the remaining oil. When the oil is hot crack the eggs into the pan. Cook the eggs as desired. You may need to cook the eggs in two batches.

4.

Toast the English muffins, then spread a little bit of mayonnaise on each half. Assemble the sandwiches with the breakfast sausage, cooked egg, and a slice of cheddar cheese.
