You can use fresh turmeric or dried turmeric; if using fresh turmeric, you will want to use a ½ – 1” piece. Pairing the turmeric with black pepper improves the absorption of the curcumin in the turmeric, which is the anti-inflammatory compound touted to help with inflammation. You can add a little bit of vanilla protein powder for adults to start the day if desired!
