Welcome to the Cookbook Meal Plan
If you're here, that means Fraiche and Simple is officially in your hands.
Pinch me!
After more than three years of writing, testing, tasting, photographing, tweaking (and testing some more), knowing this book has made its way into your kitchen means more to me than I can say.
Now, let’s get cooking!

I created the meal plans for Fraiche and Simple because I deeply understand that cooking isn't really the hard part. The true mental load is everything that comes before it: deciding what to make, figuring out what ingredients you need, getting the groceries in the house, and doing it all over again next week.
Dinner can end up feeling a little bit like Groundhog’s Day.
Your Fraiche and Simple Meal Planning Tools
Whether you're someone who plans the entire week on Sunday or you're less of a planner, these tools are meant to meet you where you are and help you get ahead of the 5pm scramble.
The Printable Weekly Menu Template
A little structure can go a long way.
Use this printable template to map out your week, choose recipes from the cookbook, account for leftovers or nights out, and get the plan out of your head and onto paper.
Print a fresh copy each week, stick it on the fridge, scribble all over it. It's yours! I've laminated mine so I can write on it with a dry erase marker too, it's turned into a fun way to get the kids involved.

The Grocery Lists
If you’re following the meal plans in Fraiche and Simple, download the grocery lists that accompany them below, then simply cross off what you already have in your fridge and pantry and add anything else your household needs.

Less dinnertime stress, more delicious food on your table. Just how we like it.

A Few Tips Before You Get Started
You don't have to follow the meal plans perfectly for them to work.
Swap recipes around. Move Wednesday's dinner to Friday. Plan for leftovers. Take a night off and order pizza. Double something your family loves and freeze half for another week.
The plan is there to support your life, not run it.
A little prep is a gift to future you. Look ahead at the week and see what can be washed, chopped, cooked, or portioned in advance. Even ten minutes today can make tomorrow's dinner feel a whole lot easier.
Most importantly, make it your own.
My hope is that these pages get printed, scribbled on, crossed out, stuck to your fridge and used over and over again, right alongside a cookbook that eventually has its own collection of splatters and dog-eared pages.
That's when I'll know it's doing its job.
